For instance, the Spanish word “Siempre” means “always” when translated into English. However, the meaning is not the same when translated into Filipino. WebIn Filipino, catalyst can be directly rendered as ‘katalisador’, borrowed and Filipinized from the Spanish ‘catalizador’. Please note that when we borrow foreign words to Filipinize them, we borrow first from Spanish since its orthography is much more similar to that of Filipino - from the way words are spelled to the way they are pronounced.
