Thus The Love Attitudes Scale: Short Form (LAS) was developed by (Hendrick et al. 1998) to examine the six love types of individuals based on Lee’s ( 1973) Color of Love theory. Clyde Hendrick and Susan Hendrick of Texas Tech University expanded on this theory in the mid-1980s with their extensive research on what they called "love styles".
